One of the most popular Moab adventures. Experience the beauty and excitement of the Colorado River on this half-day afternoon river adventure. The trip begins just below Rocky Rapid and floats a calm stretch down to an exclusive hot barbecue lunch buffet at a riverside ranch. After lunch, the trip continues through White's Rapid and a few other moderate splashes as the canyon narrows along one of the West's most scenic by-ways bordering Arches National Park. On this trip, you can paddle in a raft or an inflatable kayak. The Mid-Day trip is an excellent option for combining the river adventure with other fun-filled tours.

This journey begins with a drive up one of the most scenic highways in the western United States. We launch the raft onto a spectacular stretch of the Colorado River, made famous by the many movies filmed there. Experience moderate rapids as we crush through Onion Creek, Cloudburst, Rocky Rapid, and Whites Rapid. Then take advantage of the calm stretches between rapids by swimming and floating with your life jacket in the river. At lunch time, we will stop at a beautiful riverside ranch where you can kick up your feet in the shade and savor an exclusive hot BBQ lunch. A full day well spent!

Experience "The West's Best Short Whitewater Trip," as named by National Geographic magazine. Westwater Canyon is a spirited oar-powered and paddleboat trip* on the Colorado River. Guides expertly row through exciting waves and swirling pools dwarfed by stunningly beautiful and unique black, gold and red canyon walls. Hikes to historic cabins, mysterious caves, and Indian petroglyphs punctuate the river's course. Rapids such as Funnel Falls, Skull Rapid and Sock-it-to-Me provide plenty of excitement while calmer waters on the first and last part of the river offer a nice balance to the perfect day trip.

*Water levels through Westwater Canyon do fluctuate throughout the year, providing varying levels of whitewater intensity based on the time selected. Use of paddleboats may depend on water levels. We reserve the right to not use paddleboats at certain water levels. Westwater Canyon is exciting class III and IV rated whitewater. Trip has a great mix of whitewater action and unique scenery only found in Westwater Canyon.

Experience one of the most scenic, relaxing and rewarding tours in Moab - stand up paddleboarding on the Colorado River!
On the beach, your guide will fit you with a paddle and paddle board before providing some brief instruction both on the sand and in the water. With our long 10-12 foot Surftech paddle boards, most people generally get the hang of stand up paddle boarding within just a few minutes. Once everyone is comfortable, we’ll push off for a fantastic experience on the river.
Paddle past towering sandstone cliffs, catching the occasional glimpse of a great blue heron, a bighorn sheep, or a climber scaling the rock walls along the river’s edge. You’ll have time to paddle, swim and just lie on your back in the sun as we drift down river.
At the end of your journey, we’ll take a break to eat snacks and re-hydrate. Once we reach the takeout point along the river, we’ll pack up all the paddleboards and supplies before heading back to Moab.
